About

Hi, I’m Dan.

After being fired as CEO from a multi-million dollar business I ran with my partners – my wife and I packed up our two kids and went on a 6 month road trip around the country in our Airstream, Tin E.  This site began as a travelogue for our adventure.  If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to live with a 1 and 4 year old in close quarters, you can read those stories prior to November 2017.

Today, the blog is a place where I share honest and sometimes raw stories about my experience as a father looking for happiness and personal growth and as a Leadership Coach for small to medium sized businesses.

Since I get into business’y stuff, here’s a snapshot of my experience:

My career started with a hiccup as I was fired from my first job out of college by Les Moonves (it’s a long story).  I then had the good fortune to work for an engineering firm and a large management consultancy for close to a decade.  Chasing my girlfriend to London (she became my wife), my last 9 to 5 stint was as a Project Manager for the London 2012 Olympics helping to build the Olympic Stadium (I sat behind a desk).  Wanting to live out an entrepreneurial dream, I returned to the states and started a business that would become one of the fastest growing companies in the country and from which I would be fired as CEO.

Today, I run 3Sixty Leadership, a coaching and consulting business focused on helping business leaders with 5 to 500 employees, work “on” their business, not “in” their business.

If you’re thinking the ex-CEO and Coaching background will have me telling you what to do, please don’t.  You won’t find any “I think you should do this” here.  I believe in “gestalt” or speaking from experience.  We are all coming from extremely different places and paths and I believe there is only one person who truly knows the answers to your problems – you.

I love; trying new things, meditating and reading about mindfulness, listening to Washington Nationals games on the radio, exploring investment and new biz opportunities and pulling pranks on my kids.

Please feel free to contact me about any of the above.  Blogs are cool, but one-on-one discourse is cooler.
